![]() This event has caused great waves in the community with some players saying they will stop playing the game. In the latest PV gacha reveal on youtube, fans have left comments joking about how the game is Lucien only now that the other three main characters are left silent in the PV. The immediate action by Papergames and Elex caused a walk out of two other voice actors and as the posting of this review, 3 out of 4 (well 5) of the main cast are voiceless and it is not known if there will be replacements. Then the replacement voice actor for Victor, Jonah Scott, was immediately fired after it was made known to Papergames and Elex (the global publisher) of a tweet he posted a day before being fired mentioning “Taiwan is a country”. In 2021 it was announced that the original voice actor for Victor, Benjamin Diskin, will be replaced as his contract expired and was not renewed because of other contractual obligations from another company (he has mentioned in the past he is legally not allowed to talk or mention about MLQC). I know I said I’ll leave this ’till last but there’s no way in dodging this when talking about MLQC’s history. Now to talk about the elephant in the room. Love: Queen’s Choice” which still kept the spirit of the story in it’s title but also wasn’t too vague so it would be hard to search it up.ĭue to it’s huge popularity in mainland China, it became a concern or talking topic about women preferring these 2D boys over real men (which is quite laughable), so much so it was added to the Wikipedia entry for Mr Love: Queen’s Choice lol: It has many names depending on the region, with East Asian regions sporting the “Love and Producer” title (in Japan it is called Koi to Producer ~EVOLxLOVE~) but to gain the system that is Google’s wack search engine optimisation the global version was dubbed “Mr. Not quite sure if Japanese audio was available upon Global’s release, but the English dub made it more accessible for those who are not familiar with Japanese or the other audio tracks. ![]() Japan’s release was the last to launch in July 2019, which also had a Japanese voiced cast. Originally releasing in mainland China back in December 2017, it gradually gained momentum as well as a lot of whales (a term for those who spend big money on mobile games), with the later half of 2018 introducing the game to overseas players starting with Korean and then Taiwan.Įnglish/Global release was introduced back in March 2019 with an English voiced cast for the 4 main guys. Love: Queen’s Choice aka Love and Producer I’ll be reviewing the English Global version as well as review the anime (hoo boy, that is a whole other beast). I stopped playing since you-know-what happened back in June, 2021 (I will discuss this at the end of the review), so I may be a bit forgetful on how I felt about this game so this may be a bit of a short review. ![]() Now it’s been, like, 2 months since ToT CBT happened and I didn’t get around writing this review until now. In preparation to playing Tears of Themis‘ CBT (closed beta testing) I checked out another game made by a Chinese based game company Papergames, a company that focuses on making female oriented mobile games such as the dress-up game Nikki series, just to get a feel on the difference between Japanese and Chinese female oriented games.
